School Year Kicks Off with Annual Welcome Back Event

The Green Bay Area Public School District kicked off back to school season with the third annual GBAPS Welcome Back Celebration on August 21, 2025.

Students, families and community members were invited to the event at Joannes Park, where they could enjoy carnival-style games, performances and a free hot lunch. 

Each GBAPS school hosted a booth with a fun activity, and students had the opportunity to meet staff members.

Around 1,500 children, families, and community members enjoyed a hot lunch and a complimentary GBAPS frisbee from the Food Service Department.
